Katie Maddison never wanted to learn how to kick a demon's ass, all she was doing was helping a fellow university student with his Chem homework. She just trusted people too much. It's time to ask the right team for the solution. The Demons have turned the tables on the Damned, and it takes a little while to catch up. It's quiet - too quiet. Pandora reveals a little bit more about herself, who she is, and what she can do. And Damian has to make some hard choices. There is someone new coming to the team, and he is just this side of...different. The war with the enemy is burning - and it's time the General calls for special backup. Because now even he spells backup K.A.T.I.E.

Still in New York, Katie is working on creating an additional base for herself and her team as Pandora contemplates how she can mess up Calvin's love life. What will happen when Katie meets the woman who means the most to her? And what is Calvin going to do, since the gang in Mexico is not giving up?

There are changes happening around the world, and Hell isn't giving up, even as they go through a few changes there as well. One of the Leviathans has risen, and this time it doesn't walk around destroying property. No, it is much more insidious. Turner is asking for a roommate, and not one you can acquire in the Classifieds....

The team has to come to grips with a killer being allowed to live. The alien has to deal with the threat of paperwork. Will this effort to allow Juntto to redeem himself work? Or will Katie need to figure out how to kill him for good, when even the angels from above could only place him on ice before? Juntto is used to getting his way, but has he met his match with Angie? He wants to be Emperor of his own country. How can she convince him being an Emperor isn’t all it is cracked up to be? Pandora doesn’t play by the rules, nor will Katie.

There are always plans within plans, but one thing Lucifer didn't think to ask: Would God care about one angel fallen among the thousands? With Katie and Pandora going to the deepest depths to track down some killers, Pandora’s greatest temptation will be in her grasp. Can the two of them, plus help, figure out the real danger, or will they encounter it without preparation? Further, will they figure out how to handle a Leviathan that is larger than New York City? Have the depths of Hell finally revealed a plot centuries in the making? Will Katie and Pandora trip something to throw all of their success into question?

While the high-level demons are being summoned, Katie, Pandora, and the team are trying to come off the high of having been inside a Leviathan. For once, nothing much is happening, so Katie is able to focus on demon rumblings in New York. Unfortunately, Pandora wants Slut-Girl to come out and play, so Katie has to deal with another head-slapping moment.

Unfortunately, Katie decides she won't play their games, and leaves. Did she bite off more than she could chew when she made the statement that upset the World Council? Juntto and Angie are trying to work through their issues, but will it be enough? The strength of love is in people’s willingness to accept others as they are and recognize those who support you best.

The War of the Damned is coming to a close, and Moloch has been tasked with winning by Lucifer. Juntto is in frozen storage as Katie and her team try to figure out if he can be saved, and, if so, how? With the war heating up and other demons getting into the action to garner acclaim, the Damned have their work cut out for them. In the end, Moloch stops trying to get others to do the hard work and takes Katie on himself. Can she and Pandora beat the Archdemon?
