  • Episode 42 - Christians and Halloween
    Oct 21 2026

Should Christians celebrate Halloween? Is trick-or-treating really participating in something evil? And does dressing your child up as a ghost, witch, or superhero somehow compromise your Christian faith?

In this episode of Two Pastors: Conversations About Everything, Pastors Jason and Robby tackle some of the misconceptions surrounding Halloween and Christianity. They explore the history of Halloween, its connection to All Hallows' Eve and All Saints' Day, and what Scripture actually says about participating in cultural traditions.

They also discuss the importance of teaching children the difference between imagination and reality, respecting personal convictions, and recognizing that not every tradition we were taught is a biblical commandment.

Could Halloween actually be an opportunity to show Christian love and hospitality to our neighbors?

Grab some candy and join the conversation as we separate fact from fiction, faith from fear, and discover why celebrating Halloween doesn't have to conflict with following Jesus!

  • Episode 41: Jesus Is Praying for You
    Oct 14 2026

Episode 41: Jesus Is Praying for You

We often tell people, “I’m praying for you.” But have you ever stopped to consider that Jesus is praying for you, too?

In this episode of Two Pastors: Conversations About Everything, Jason and Robby explore one of the most humbling and empowering truths in Scripture: Jesus prayed for us before His crucifixion, and He is still interceding for us today!

In John 17, we get an incredible glimpse into Jesus’ prayer for His disciples and for those who would come to believe in Him. That includes us! But the story doesn't end there. Hebrews reminds us that Jesus continues to intercede on our behalf, and Romans tells us that even when we don't have the words to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us.

We also explore the great cloud of witnesses in Hebrews 12 and what it means to run the race of faith knowing we aren't running alone.

What would change in your life if you truly believed that Jesus is praying for you? How would it change the way you face challenges, approach prayer, or navigate life's most difficult moments?

It's a truth that should humble us, encourage us, and empower us.

Because before you ever prayed to Jesus, Jesus prayed for you. And He's still praying for you today.

Join Jason and Robby for a conversation about prayer, grace, encouragement, and the incredible assurance that we never face life alone.

  • Episode 40 - Stinkin' Thinkin'
    Oct 7 2026

Have you ever gotten so far inside your own head that something that might happen suddenly feels like something that definitely will happen? That’s what we call some good old-fashioned “Stinkin’ Thinkin’.”

We all have thoughts that can run wild, worry about work, fear about the future, lust, anger, insecurity, comparison, resentment, or even entire conversations with people that never actually happened. We may not be able to control every thought that enters our minds, but we don’t have to give every thought permission to stay.

In Episode 40 of Two Pastors: Conversations About Everything, Jason and Robby dig into Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 10:5 about taking “every thought captive.” What does that actually look like in everyday life? How do we recognize when worry has turned into an irrational story we’re telling ourselves? And how do prayer, Scripture, and the renewing of our minds help us separate what feels true from what actually is true?

We also talk about the important difference between everyday thoughts that need to be challenged and real mental-health struggles that may require professional help. Faith, prayer, counseling, and mental-health care don’t have to compete with one another.

So, what thoughts are you allowing to run wild? Maybe it’s time to take some of that Stinkin’ Thinkin’ captive.

  • Episode 39 - Suicide, Salvation, and the Church
    Sep 30 2026

This week, we tackle one of the most difficult and sensitive conversations we’ve had: suicide, salvation, and the church.

For generations, many Christians heard a simple and frightening message: “If you die by suicide, you go straight to hell.” But where did that belief come from? Is that actually what Scripture teaches? And if the way the church talks about suicide has changed, what changed?

In this episode, we talk honestly about suicide, salvation, grace, mental health, and the responsibility of the church to be a place where people can say, “I’m not okay.” We also discuss how greater understanding of mental health has changed the conversation and why fear and shame should never replace compassion, presence, and hope.

We’ll also highlight the work of HERE 4 A REASON and the difference suicide-prevention organizations are making in our communities.

This is a heavy conversation, but an important one. Because maybe the question isn’t only what we believe happens after someone dies by suicide. Maybe the church also needs to ask: How do we love people well enough before they ever reach that point?

If you or someone you know is struggling or experiencing thoughts of suicide, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Help is available 24/7.

You are not alone. There is help. There is hope.

  • Episode 38 - Barstools and Church Pews
    Sep 23 2026

Episode 38: Barstools and Church Pews

Why do people keep going back to their favorite bar, restaurant, or coffee shop? Sure, they may like what’s being served, but often it’s because somebody knows their name. Somebody listens. Somebody notices when they’re gone. They feel like they belong.

Shouldn’t the church be even better at that?

In this episode, Jason and Robby talk about hospitality in the church and the difference between simply being “friendly” and creating a culture where people genuinely feel seen, valued, and welcomed. Robby draws from 30 years in the hospitality industry and his work on Radical Hospitality, while Jason revisits the biblical story of Ananias welcoming Saul and what it teaches us about making room for people we might not expect.

Because hospitality isn’t just the job of the greeters, and it isn’t about increasing attendance. It’s about reflecting the welcome we have already received from Jesus.

Whether it’s a barstool or a church pew, people want to know they matter.

    Welcomed people welcome people.

  • Episode 37 — A Different Standard
    Sep 16 2026

Why are Christians surprised when people who don’t follow Jesus don’t live according to the teachings of Jesus?

In Episode 37, “A Different Standard,” we dig into Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 5:12–13 and ask whether the church sometimes spends too much time judging those outside of it while overlooking what’s happening within. We talk about the difference between conviction and condemnation, why Christian standards should first shape the lives of Christians, and what it means when people outside the church sometimes seem to “love their neighbor” better than we do.

Our job isn’t to make non-Christians behave like Christians. Our calling is to follow Jesus faithfully, love people well, and point others toward Him.

So maybe the question isn’t, “Why doesn’t the world act more like the church?”

Maybe it’s, “Does the church look enough like Jesus?”

  • Episode 36 - Do you need an update?
    Sep 9 2026

We update our phones all the time, but when was the last time we stopped to ask if we need an update?

After a recent iPhone update, we started thinking about all the things running in the background of our own lives. Old habits, attitudes, grudges, priorities, exhaustion, and even things we know God has been calling us to change—but we keep hitting “Remind Me Later.”

In this episode, we talk about what it looks like to let God run the diagnostic. Are there things we need to delete? Is our battery running low? Are we holding onto an old version of ourselves simply because it's familiar? And what role do prayer, Scripture, worship, community, and other spiritual practices play in keeping us connected to God?

God doesn't need an update. The Gospel doesn't need an update. But sometimes we do.

Join us for a conversation about growth, change, renewal, and allowing God to continue shaping us into the people He has called us to be.

    Sep 2 2026

    🏈 Episode 36: It’s Football Season!

Football is back, and that means Saturdays just got a whole lot better!

This week, Jason and Robby are talking about everything they love about football, from Friday night lights and high school rivalries to packed college stadiums, traditions, tailgates, entrances, and the incredible sense of community that surrounds the game.

Of course, you can’t talk college football with these two without mentioning the rivalry: Jason is a Clemson Tiger, Robby is a South Carolina Gamecock, and neither one is willing to admit the other picked the right team. 😂

But underneath all the trash talk, football reminds us of something bigger. There’s something special about people coming together, cheering for something they love, and being part of something larger than themselves.

Grab your team colors, settle in, and join Two Pastors: Conversations About Everything because… IT’S FOOTBALL SEASON! 🏈
