  • July 2nd 2026 New England Video Fishing Forecast with Dave Anderson
    Jul 2 2026

No fireworks display will upstage the Empire State Building antics seen earlier this week, but with so many fisheries blowing up across New England, with the proper guidance, your fishing exploits might come close. A sudden rush of bluefin has moved in south of Montauk sending small-boaters scurrying for the first tuna of the year. A strengthening run of fluke has joined the giant stripers at Block Island, giving greater incentive to take the ride. Big bonito continue to race around Cape Cod, while summertime shore sharking is firing up in Nantucket Sound. Stripers to 49 inches are marauding the mackerel schools along the Massachusetts South Shore… and finally, the Rhody squid run continues this week and it’s fueling explosive action for fluke and stripers from Newport to Point Jude! Be safe this weekend and let us put you on the fish!

  • June 25th 2026 New England Video Fishing Forecast with Dave Anderson
    Jun 25 2026

Stripers continue to top the list for most New England anglers, with pockets of big fish in Long Island Sound, around Block Island and in multiple locations along the Cape. Fluke action continues to show modest improvement, with the best fishing centered around Nantucket Sound and Nantucket Shoals. Sea bass reports have been dominated by shorts this month, but the secret sauce has been moving around to find the piles of fish with more keepers in the mix. Offshore action has also been making big strides over the past two weeks with increasingly reliable action in the canyons and better bluefin reports creeping closer to home with each passing day.
