Amy and Dale are back with another episode of Bless Your ’Hardt!

This week, Dale learns that if something is above Amy’s eye level, it might as well not exist.

The two recap a late night with the Red Clay Strays and Tim Dugger. Dale spent the next day on the couch, while Amy survived a field trip hungover.

Amy reveals whose celebrity closet she’d raid (Sydney Sweeney’s, since they’re the same size, or Gwyneth Paltrow’s for her style). Dale finally explains his problem with “still or sparkling” water.

Plus, Dale can’t remember the last time he washed his sweatpants. Luckily, Amy’s been washing them.

This week, Dale Earnhardt Jr. gets an up-close look at one of the most meteoric rises in music as he sits down with the Red Clay Strays. Hailing from Mobile, Alabama, the band cut their teeth playing covers along the Gulf Coast, including packed nights at Charlotte’s own Thirsty Beaver, before building a catalog of original songs. Thanks to their single “Wondering Why” and a viral performance on the Western AF video series, they went from dive bars to amphitheaters to arenas in a matter of years. Their latest album reunited them with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, continuing to define their brand of Southern rock-informed country music.

Dale has been a fan for years and invited the band to headline his Driven to Give charity event for the Dale Jr. Foundation. They agreed to play a full show and turned down payment. Dale asks what it’s like to spend half the year on the road together, the pressure of supporting a 50-person crew, and how more success means more work behind the scenes. The guys also open up about their faith, recording live with Dave Cobb, AI deepfakes of the band (and the trading cards with AI-written bios about the wrong people), and their tour of Hendrick Motorsports with Rick Hendrick himself.

Dale Jr. and the crew recap Phoenix with just three races left in the championship battle. They get into Kyle Larson’s struggles, Christopher Bell closing in on the points lead, and the incidents between Riley Herbst and Michael McDowell, along with Zane Smith and Carson Hocevar. Dale explains why he believes NASCAR needs to draw a line when it comes to post-race contact, especially when drivers are hitting each other at 130 mph.
