I’m back!!! Welcome back to The Coach Ray Podcast. I start this season off with taking a look at the flex defense, the history and who is using it today.

On this episode I welcome David Brown, Defensive Coordinator at Cy-Woods High School in Cypress, Texas. We discuss his journey of humble beginings in South Central LA all the way to Cypress, Texas in Houston metro area. This journey includes stops in Switzerland and Germany and even includes our paths crossing in 2012 in Rolla, MO, when he hired me as graduate assistant. A simple introduction episode. My name is Luke Rayfield and I have been a football coach for nearly 15 years. This is my attempt to start giving back to the game and be able to help my collegues and fellow coaches across all sports. The general focus here will be football and more specifically defensive football, but I am wanting to turn this into an open forum and bring on guest coaches to talk about who they are and what they are doing in their chosen sport.
