Obi-Wan’s offhand mind trick in “Attack of the Clones” gets a hearing, and so does parenting, where Matthew takes dangerous things away from their kid without a second thought. So if a more advanced species decides humanity is the kid, who gets to say no?

Matthew Fox and co-host Paul Hoppe, a poker player and writer, stay inside that one scene from “Captain America: Civil War” and work out what a fair response looks like before the Sokovia Accords exist.Paul splits heroes whose powers are part of them from heroes whose power is money or technology and Matthew turns that into a case for regulating actions instead of identities. They agree the film never investigates what happened, then disagree about who should. Batman’s plans to stop his own teammates and George Washington’s two terms get pulled in too. If people can’t agree on the facts, how do they agree on anything else?
