A historic event that helped launch Fleetwood Mac's career in the U.S. was their visit to Chicago in January of 1969, when they had an all-day jam recording session with many of the blues greats from Chicago. The legendary Peter Green, along with Jeremy Spencer, Danny Kirwan and current band members Mick Fleetwood and John McVie laid down nearly 3 dozen tracks and the session was caught by acclaimed photographer Jeff Lowenthal who joins your host Ray White, along with Jeff's co-author of the book Fleetwood Mac in Chicago, January 4, 1969 - The Legendary Chess Blues Session , Robert Schaffner on this episode. Jim Babjak and Dennis Diken of The Smithereens, who were formed in 1980, join us on this episode. Glen Burtnik, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is best know for his stints with Styx in the early 1990's and early 2000's. From the Jersey Shore, his big break came when he was selected to play a lead role in the Broadway musical review - Beatlemania. As a songwriter, Glen wrote numerous songs for many artists that received a great deal of airplay. He's recorded over a half-dozen solo albums and with Styx, you'll find him on two studio releases and several live recordings. Since 2009, he's been the frontman for The Orchestra, made up of musicians that played with the Electric Light Orchestra and Electric Light Orchestra Part II. You'll also find Glen as a member of The Weeklings and he's played in several other bands and projects throughout his career, too! The CAT hits another home run with this super interview and show!!

Rhett Miller co-founded the Old 97's in 1992 and the band has retained all of their original members since then. Considered by many as pioneers of the Alt-Country movement, today their music has elements of Americana, Indie Rock, and Power Pop. They were honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 Americana Music Honors & Awards ceremony. Randle Chowning founded the Ozark Mountain Daredevils in 1971. As Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, he was with the band during their heyday from the early to mid 1970's. After leaving the band Randle teamed with fellow Daredevil bandmate, Larry Lee, to form Beyond Reach. Throughout the years he has also released numerous solo projects including many of his friends. His latest compilation is titled Sworn Testimony. Randle joins your host, Ray White, and takes you down memory lane from his Daredevil days in the 70's until now. Robin Batteau is a renowned violinist, singer/songwriter and producer. He's played with Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston and Judy Collins - just to name a few. Clive Davis, the legendary music mogul, signed Robin and his brother David to a recording contract back in 1971, releasing "Batteau" on Columbia Records. Robin later hooked up with David Buskin forming the folk/rock duo of Buskin & Batteau. You'll also find him in the band Pierce Arrow, earlier in his career. A Grammy and Emmy award winner, his most listened to work was that of television and radio advertising jingles for McDonalds, Coca-Cola, Chevrolet and many more companies. Robin's latest solo project dives deep into his Greek studies, giving him inspiration for the album Banned in Sparta. Several of his friends including Tom Paxton and Livingston & Kate Taylor join him. Ray White, a multi-award winning program director, captures many of Robin's career highlights in this episode.
