The Phoenix Suns held off a scrappy Brooklyn Nets team to snap a two-game skid with a 106-102 win. Things got chippy at the end, but it was a late 10-2 run that allowed the Suns to overcome a deficit to move to 28-19 on the season.

Without Devin Booker, Collin Gillespie, Jalen Green and Isaiah Livers, the Suns enjoyed a season-high 27 points from Mark Williams, while Dillon Brooks scored 26 points and Grayson Allen added a number of clutch buckets en route to 18 points on the night. The Nets were paced by 36 points from Michael Porter Jr. while rookie guard Egor Dëmin added 15 points.

Phoenix won a scrappy contest despite shooting 5 of 20 from 3-point range and it maintains its pace among the top half of the Western Conference. The shorthanded Phoenix Suns came up short Sunday night, falling to the Miami Heat, 111-102. Phoenix couldn’t get much going from beyond the arc as it finished the night shooting 7 of 35 from 3-point range. With Devin Booker and Jalen Green out of the lineup, it was Dillon Brooks who led the way with 26 points on 11-of-23 shooting, but it wasn’t nearly enough for the Suns to overcome 37% shooting from the field and 20% shooting from 3-point range.

The Heat were led by 22 points from Bam Adebayo, while Jaime Jacquez Jr. finished the night with 20 points, five rebounds and six assists off the bench.

With the loss, Phoenix falls to 27-19 on the season. Sunday marked the first game of a five-game homestand that continues on Tuesday when the Brooklyn Nets come to town. Jalen Green exited the game after tweaking his hamstring in the first quarter and Devin Booker exited with a sprained right ankle late in the third quarter. The Phoenix Suns end their six-game road trip with a tough, 110-103 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, but lost much more in the process.

Green was limited to just four minutes of action while Booker’s injury came after he had scored 31 points in 28 minutes of action. Now, the focus shifts to the prognosis of their respective injuries and how much time they’ll be out of the Suns’ lineup.

With the loss, the Suns fall to 27-18 on the season and wrap the road trip with a 3-3 record. They’ll return home to host the Miami Heat on Sunday, but it is unclear who will be available for them then. PHNX Suns dives into the injuries and looks forward to what lies ahead for the Suns after their lengthy trip.
