  • Ella Toone: From Salt and Pepper Chips to FA Cup Dreams. What A Manchester United Victory would look like for her
    May 9 2024

Are you Red or Blue? In this week’s episode hear Liv speak with Lioness icon Ella Toone ahead of her FA Cup final game playing for Manchester United.

Anticipating a lively but pressurised environment ahead of the big day, Ella describes what a victory this weekend would mean for her and the team following their near win last season.

Hear her talk about the huge impact the Lionesses had on UK football after winning the Euros last year, and how it propelled her into overnight stardom: from getting papped when eating a pasty, to some of the nasty online trolling she’s received.

Also get a glimpse into the highs and lows of being a footballer: from always having to pick yourself back up when there are more losses than wins, negative chants or on pitch spats.

With homage to her hometown and the team she plays for, Manchester United, hear Liv and Ella share their favourite nights out, and some of the city’s best salt and pepper chicken. One not to miss.

  • Mel B MBE: The Truth Behind a Spice Girls Reunion, Learning To Trust Again, Being a Reiki Master and The True Definition of Girl Power
    Mar 28 2024

TW: domestic violence / controlling relationships.

In this week’s episode, Liv speaks to the total powerhouse that is Melanie Brown MBE, or Scary Spice to the masses. They talk about the hotly rumoured Spice Girls reunion (will it be at Glastonbury?), her wedding to fiancé Rory at St Paul’s Cathedral (will the other Spice Girls be attending?) the close relationship she has with her daughters, her discovery of spirituality and the latest chapters in her book: Brutally Honest.

In 2018 Mel B released her account of domestic violence during her marriage to Stephen Belafonte, and earlier this year added more chapters recounting her experience of alleged financial abuse during her divorce. Now an ambassador for Women’s Aid, Mel shows huge resilience in the face of hardship and shows how we need to be having this conversation, especially when women in Mel’s position fall victim to abuse.

For legal reasons we have to note that Stephen Belafonte denies all allegations of domestic violence and abuse.
