• For Anxiety
    Jun 22 2026

Anxiety can sometimes feel like it comes out of nowhere. One minute you’re okay. The next minute, you feel really nervous. Your heart may beat fast. You may even sweat, feel weak or tired, and breathe harder. It’s hard to stop thinking about what’s making you worried or scared. Anxiety doesn’t just hurt because of what might happen. It hurts because your brain keeps replaying the same looping thoughts with no place to put them. I get real about that feeling and share a practical strategy that helps us interrupt anxious spirals without pretending we can “cure” anxiety overnight. The goal is progress.

  • You and Imposter Syndrome
    Jun 8 2026

Imposter syndrome shows up when you're trying to level up. You tell yourself that your progress is due to luck, or things that give you an advantage, instead of the actual growth you are experiencing. It can lead to you to downplaying your wins instead of celebrating the skill you've gained.

We start by breaking down what imposter syndrome actually is, then dig into how it can look in everyday life: fear of failure, fear of regret, and the pressure that comes with bigger opportunities. I share a personal story about being asked to headline a paid Juneteenth performance and how easy it was to credit the moment to who I knew instead of the work I put in, the talent I built, and the support I earned.

From there, we shift into practical mindset work for personal growth and confidence. We talk about controlling your thoughts so they don’t control your actions, expecting the emotional ups and downs because success is not linear, and treating discomfort as proof you’re becoming the next version of yourself. If you’re chasing goals in your career, business, creativity, or health, this one will help you stop self-sabotaging and start owning your progress.

If this helped you, subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs the reminder that they’re not a fraud.

  • When You've Outgrown Them
    Jun 1 2026

Growth doesn’t just change your habits. It changes your relationships, your confidence, and the way you see yourself and that can make people around you uncomfortable. I’m talking about the moment you realize you’re evolving, but others still treat you like the version of you they remember. Give yourself permission to evolve and accept that you won’t be for everybody.

If you’re on a self-development journey and you’re worried you’re “changing too much,” this one is your reminder to stay authentic, honor your gifts, and keep walking your path.

  • How To Stop Overthinking And Make Decisions Fast
    May 25 2026

Overthinking feels responsible until you realize it's just procrastination with better branding. Indecision makes us trick ourselves into believing we're “preparing” when we're actually avoiding the discomfort that comes with moving. If you've been stuck in research mode, waiting for the perfect plan, or telling yourself you're not ready yet, this is the mindset reset that breaks the loop.

  • You Don't Need Motivation You Need Motion

You can feel stuck for months, even years, not because you are broken, but because you are still in the hardest part of the process: getting the wheels moving. In these moments it's crucial that we harness the power of momentum in our lives so our goals stop depending on motivation and start depending on motion. Whether you are trying to lose weight, build a business, wake up earlier, or finish a creative project, the early phase is supposed to feel heavy and slow and that is exactly why most people quit too soon.

I use a broken down car analogy to make it concrete: pushing from a dead stop takes the most effort, and stopping once it finally rolls means you volunteer to restart the hardest part again. We talk about how to notice real progress, how habits start to “carry you” once your body and brain adapt, and how to protect momentum when self-doubt tells you it is taking too long.

Then we get into a sneaky form of self-sabotage: the “I deserve it” mindset. I share examples of how small rewards can stack into lost consistency, and the decision you have to make if you want a different life years from now.

  • How To Stay Calm When Life Blows Up
    May 4 2026

Your day can fall apart in seconds: a crash, a firing, a mistake you can’t take back, or something as small as traffic that flips a switch in your chest. Let's talk about how to stay calm when it feels like everything is hitting the fan, and why three words can pull you back from the edge: can’t change it.

I walk through what that mindset looks like in real life, including a painful job loss tied to my own decisions, and the spiral that can come when you start living in regret. The turning point is learning that you can’t always control your first thought, but you can control your second thought. That’s where emotional regulation starts, and it’s also where real personal development lives.

We also get into self-mastery using Viktor Frankl’s idea that between stimulus and response there’s a space, and inside that space is your power. The goal isn’t to become emotionless. The goal is to shorten how long anger, anxiety, and stress control you, until the same trigger that used to ruin your week barely gets minutes of your energy.

I share lessons from the pandemic, anxiety that showed up out of nowhere, and why traffic is the perfect daily practice for acceptance, mindfulness, and staying present. If this helped you, subscribe, leave a review, share it with a friend, and support the show if you can.

  • Believe It Or Not, You Have An Ego pt 2
    Apr 24 2026

Your ego isn’t always loud. Sometimes it it looks like over-apologizing, avoiding being alone, or only spending time with people who never challenge you. We dig into the less obvious ways ego shows up, why it fuels emotional ups and downs, and how it can quietly block confidence, creativity, and personal growth.

We talk about chasing outside approval and how social media turns self-worth into a scoreboard. We get into why criticism can feel personal when ego is running the show, and why staying stuck in old stories is a sneaky way to avoid the work of building your next chapter. Then we shift into the part that matters most: what to do next. We break down how real self-love is more than affirmations. It is showing up, doing the work, and building self-belief even when nobody is clapping.

We also connect ego to setbacks through delayed gratification. Negative habits often “pay out” fast, while positive results take months, so coasting when you feel on top can quietly set up the next slump. To close, I share a piece of my hip-hop musical and the opening song, The Wanderer, which travels through time and carries themes of struggle, survival, and Black resilience.

If this helped, subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs a push. What is one ego habit you’re ready to check today?
