Today on Let There Be Talk, we’re diving into three things I could talk about all day: stand-up comedy, the magic of songwriting, and the nine greatest albums of all time.

First, we’re talking about what it really means to go all in when you choose stand-up comedy. This isn’t something you can halfway commit to. It takes years of work, a lot of sacrifice, and the willingness to get out there and fail until you figure it out.

Then we’re getting into songwriting. How does somebody come up with a melody, a lyric, or a riff that sticks with you for the rest of your life? There’s something pretty incredible about how music can connect with you on a level that nothing else can.

I am currently hooked on 4 new songs. Queens OF the Stone Age "Insignificant Other" Kacey Musgraves "Dry Spell" Kings Of Leon "My Whole World" and Kurt Vile " Chance To Bleed"

And finally, we’re tackling a question every music lover has an opinion on: What are your nine greatest albums of all time? Not just the records you love, but the ones that changed your life and helped shape who you are.

All that and a whole lot more today on Let There Be Talk. Let’s get into it!

Today on Let There Be Talk, I’m sitting down with a true thrash metal legend, the one and only Dave Mustaine of Megadeth.

Dave has lived one hell of a life, from helping shape the sound of heavy metal to surviving some serious battles along the way. Today, we’re getting into his new book,"In My Darkest Hour" his fight with cancer, the guitars and amps that have shaped his sound, and the history of thrash metal.

If you know anything about me you know I think that "Peace Sells" is one of the greatest Thrash Metal records of all time so I was really fired up to have him on the show after 13 years of trying.

This is a great conversation with one of the most influential guitar players and songwriters in metal history.

Dave Mustaine, today on Let There Be Talk.

Thank You

Welcome back to another episode of Let There Be Talk!

Today I'm covering a little bit of everything. I’m talking about my recent stand-up comedy experience in Lawrence, Kansas, I’m also digging into the new album from The Temperance Movement, Which I absolutely love and can't recommend enough.

I also Dive into some big news out of the metal world, with Ian Hill retiring from Judas Priest after decades of holding down the low end for one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time.

And then we’re getting into something that’s always fascinated me: people who collect antiques and spend their lives accumulating things they believe are valuable, only to find out that nobody really wants them.

Enjoy this one my friends and thank you.

Today on another episode of Let There Be Talk, I’m flying solo and getting into a few things that have been rattling around in my head.

First off, I finally got to meet the legendary Steven Wright. If you know comedy, you know how important this guy is. One of the most original comedians to ever step on a stage. His brain works on a completely different frequency, and getting the chance to meet him was pretty damn cool.

I also want to talk about Metallica playing the Sphere in Las Vegas. Think about that for a second. Metallica, one of the biggest bands in the history of rock, taking on one of the most insane venues ever built. I love seeing this band go higher and higher this deep into their career.

And then we're getting into one of my all-time favorite records, The White Stripes' White Blood Cells. Man, what a fucking record. Jack White is one of those artists who just gets it. The songwriting, the sounds, the attitude, the creativity. I've been a huge fan of everything that guy touches.

Thanks for tuning in my friends and I hope to see you out on the road.

Today on Let There Be Talk, my guest is my friend Scott Holiday, guitarist and songwriter for Rival Sons.

I’ve known Scott for a long time, and it’s always great sitting down with him and catching up. This time around, we’re talking about something a little different — his new solo record "Topology"

We get into songwriting, guitars, recording, and what it’s like to be the lead singer on this record.

Scott is really an amazing musician and friend, and I always enjoy hearing how he approaches music and where his head is at creatively.

So sit back and enjoy my conversation with Scott Holiday, today on Let There Be Talk.

Today on another episode of Let There Be Talk, I’m sitting down with an old friend I haven’t seen in about 20 years — Shane Russeck, owner of True North Watch Company.

It’s always crazy when you reconnect with somebody after that much time and realize you can just pick right back up where you left off. Shane and I went deep on watches, motorcycles, cars, comedy, and a whole lot of stories from back in the day.

We talk about the world of watches and what it takes to build a company around something you’re genuinely passionate about, but this conversation goes way beyond watches. We get into our absolute love of Design.

This one really felt like two old friends sitting down and catching up — no bullshit, just a great conversation.

So here we go.

Shane Russeck of True North Watch Company, today on Let There Be Talk.
