The end did not come slowly.

It arrived in hours.

When society collapses without warning, there are no evacuation plans, no safe zones, and no second chances. Streets turn into kill zones. Communication fails. Panic spreads faster than the infection itself.

As the dead rise and the living are overwhelmed, survival becomes a brutal calculation. Every decision costs lives. Every delay tightens the noose. Ordinary people are forced into extraordinary violence as cities burn and order disintegrates.

Zero Day: The Dead Rise is a relentless, high-stakes zombie apocalypse thriller that drops listeners into the very first moments of global collapse. Gritty, fast-paced, and uncompromising, this novel delivers intense action, raw survival, and the terrifying realism of a world ending in real time.

This is not a story about rebuilding.

This is about enduring the first day.

Perfect for listeners who crave realistic outbreak scenarios, brutal zombie action, and apocalyptic fiction that pulls no punches.

I did like this book, good story, well read and some interesting twists. Yet it just lacked that little extra from the author. They kept using the same adjectives, same descriptions for something they had said already. It just felt a little lazy..."breezy newspapers, a pushed over pram,a smashed car window" etc just kept getting used. There's parts where the author literally repeats something he described the previous day! Its a zombie apocalypse..there must be more than that lying about! It felt like a first attempt of a zombie book, some really good, gripping parts but other parts felt samey and repetitive. I didn't hear any references to timeframes, to me only a week had gone by and yet the whole world has already started to rust and signs were decaying. All in all I'd say give it a read, but don't expect your mind to be blown.

A good read, but could be better
