Summary
Owen Christiansen has been in a downward spiral since an injury ended his NHL career. But a job on an Alaskan crabbing boat offers a fresh start and maybe even a shot at romance with Elise "Scotty" McFlynn, the captain's daughter.

NOT 1st in Series as title info says! 😖
I'm one that PREFERS to read series in order....so when I came across another series by SM Warren, one O haven't yet read, I wss excited to start in. Reading the Title Details on "You're the one I want" it SAYS "Christiansen Family Series #1" ... Thinking it was all good I started in...it WASN'T UNTIL I WAS NEAR THE END AND was going to be away from wifi, so decided to grab the next title and download it...clicked on the Title details again, down to more info then clucked "included in series: Christisnsen Family" to see I was Dup'd 😳😬
THOUGH DISAPPOINTING that I see there are TWO BOOKS at the beginning of the series (book 0.5: "I really do miss you" & book 1: "Take a chance on me") THESE TWO I see aren't even available in Audible!!!😯😬😳🥺 BUT THEN WORSE...I see the THIRD (counting the 0.5 and 1.0) BOOK in the series (the first Audible in the series) is "Book 2 = It had to be you" ... I feel slapped that I was sold and read/heard the WRONG ONE FIRST...and in the SERIES LISTING : "The Christiansen Family" THIS ONE "You're the One that I want" is ACTUALLY DEAD LAST!!!! Book number 6 (8th counting Book 0.5 AND another 'GHOST'/MISSING AUDIBLE VERSION...BOOK 3.5) ... Leaves me feeling "SHOULD I BOTHER???"...I know how the series ENDS ... do I go back and try to fill in the "story pieces I missed"... especially now I see that in any case I will be MISSING THREE BOOKS ANYWAY... BOOK 0.5 AND BOOK 1...THEN ANOTHER PIECE OUTTA THE MIDDLE...BOOK 3.5!!!! 🤨🤔GRRR!
SORRY TO WHINGE SO MUCH, it just makes me angry to have NOT read/listened to the WHOLE STORY...NOT IN SEQUENCE!!! ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THE TITLE ITSELF "You're the one I want" proclaims : "Christiansen Family Series #1" by Susan May Warren .... sooo DON'T BE DUPED!!!...READ THIS LAST!!!!
On the Story itself - I enjoy her writting, that's why I sought out mare of her work, looked for another of her series...the story in that sense, in and of itself was great...I just FEEL like I het a great depth of the characters and even the setting/storyline when I can Read/LISTEN IN THE INTENDED ORDER!!!!
On the Narration- Joell did a good job too! I am pleased to see that the FIVE audible books (OF THE ACTUAL EIGHT WRITTEN) uses the SAME NARRATOR!!! THAT'S GOOD... that's another pet peeve, when a series swaps "voices" ... that messes with continuity too...it's fine that authors use DIFFERENT Narrators for different series, but it is more pleasing to kerp the SAME NARRATOR IN THE SAME SERIES...as this Christiansen Family Series does!

Great series ending
the closing story of all the family. showing how love and faith will conquer. Well written and narrated
