Summary

Why is it that women, who are so competent in all other areas of their lives, cannot find the same competence when it comes to matters of money?

Suze Orman investigates the complicated, dysfunctional relationship women have with money in this groundbreaking audiobook. With her signature mix of insight, compassion, and soul-deep recognition, she equips women with the financial knowledge and emotional awareness to overcome the blocks that have kept them from making more out of the money they make.

At the center of the audiobook is the Save Yourself Plan - a streamlined, five-month program that delivers genuine long-term financial security. But what’s at stake is far bigger than money itself: It’s about every woman’s sense of who she is, what she deserves, and why it all begins with the decision to save yourself.

Why is Suze Orman not narrating this book?

I buy Suze Orman print books, ebooks and audiobooks. And when I play the audiobooks, I expect to hear SUZE ORMAN, not some random narrator.

I don't know why Suze didn't narrate her own book. I think it was a huge mistake. The narrator is competent and boring.

Suze is great, as always. Great advice, which is what we've come to expect from Suze. But come on. We love Suze, her personality and her voice. Not some generic narrator.

Random House, you need to redo this audiobook and have Suze narrate it. Hitting 'play' and hearing someone who's NOT Suze...it just feels like a bait and switch.

Much needed and appreciated!

This book was exactly what I needed to get me back on track financially! I’m looking forward to implementing Suze’s financial advice especially the retirement and essential documents aspects. I appreciate that she’s providing supplementary materials to help you get started. And although Suze didn’t narrate the audiobook, it was her voice I heard loud and clear.

Needed more content not what i expected

I really wanted to enjoy this book and it was little so say disappointing. I heard about Suze Orman from Oprah podcast and it was one of her live seminars and it really inspired me to be more aggressive and active with my money, but what was disappointing was that if I’ve known the most important part of this book was just one chapter i would’ve just saved my time and audible credit.

This book goes on and on how women are weak with their money, and yes i got the point across that we cannot act like this it was mainly what the whole book was and a portion of it only explains small tactics on how to really use your money which was what i was hoping for

More than finances

I found myself feeling empowered as a woman, and not just in finances. Suze challenges mindsets that we simply accept as women.

Mezza Mezza

My experience of this read is that there is some helpful information here. She also shares a lot of the “hows”. I would have appreciated more purpose-based financial coaching, aka the positive “whys” around saving. She also comes off as judgey at times. Those of us who aren’t into that may want to find a more loving and positive, purpose-based alternative.
