About this listen

How to Stop Wondering Where Your Money Goes Each Month Picture this: It's the end of the month and you’re checking your bank balance, baffled by how low the numbers look. You’ve worked hard, avoided big purchases, and yet, you're scraping through until payday. Or consider your weekly grocery shop; you go in for essentials and leave with twice as much, wondering how a quick shop turned into a wallet-emptying expedition. Then there are those evenings when a simple click swipes more from your account for yet another online subscription you thought you’d cancelled.

It’s not entirely your fault. In today’s fast-paced world, invisible spending traps are everywhere, especially for those on a fixed income. Clever marketing, easy credit, and the convenience of digital payments can make spending almost feel like it’s not real–until the consequences hit your bank account.

If you find yourself constantly puzzled by your dwindling bank balance, despite your best intentions to save, this book is your lifeline. It dives deep into the subtle culprits behind your financial drain and offers practical, actionable strategies to take back control.

Inside, you’ll discover:

Strategies to decode and manage your financial flow effectively turning mysterious spending into mapped-out money

Smart shopping tips and a digital detox plan that protect your purse from impulsive splurges and unseen expenses

A step-by-step guide to gradually boosting your earnings and achieving financial independence without sacrificing your daily joy.

This book is not just about saving money; it’s about transforming your financial mindset and habits. Embrace the guidance within, and start making smarter choices today. Say goodbye to month-end money mysteries and hello to a healthier bank balance!

Jam packed full of key information on how to better manage your monetary situation. Helped me dig deeper into my monthly outgoings and really analyse what was important.

it's almost embarrassing reading this as so many of the mistakes made are literally things i do myself and at the end of the month i'm like WTF where did all the money go - ok about 10 days in i'm like that.

but it;s obvious and it's SO OBVIOUS you'll be kicking yourself. so my new years resolution is to take a chapter at a time, re read it and follow the to do list at the end.

if i'm not a lot better off come March i'll be shocked.

This makes so much sense

Well done for pointing out the obvious - but then if you completely ignore these obvious drains on your money are they actually that obvious at all? that's the question i was asking myself, along with how lazy/stupid i've been not to simply cancel unused subscriptions or buying food i then waste.

covid turned us all into just eat fanatics but have we all really forgotten how to cook?
do we really need 5 different streaming services only to then not find anything to watch?
my virgin account alone is almost £100 for rubbish tv and even worse broadband and i get unlimited data on my mobile anyway - do i even NEED broadband?

what an eye opener this book was.

The title made me laugh but its' SO TRUE

Fantastic book, definitely worth a listen! For the last while I’ve wondered where all my money has been going every month. After listening to this book, I am now going to go through all my subscriptions and cancel the ones that I haven’t needed/used lately. Silly things like that quickly add up and slyly increase in cost without you noticing.
