Story
A clear and compelling discussion of how the church can better reach, support and champion black congregation members. From the UK church’s complicity in the transatlantic slave trade to the whitewashing of Christianity throughout history, the church has a lot to answer for when it comes to race relations. Christianity has been dubbed the white man’s religion, yet the Bible speaks of an impartial God and shows us a diverse body of believers. It’s time for the church to start talking about race.

Great book to summarise all the reasons to believe in our wonderful God
- By Kelly on 23-06-19
Summary
Who are you? What defines you? What is your identity?
How you answer those questions affects every aspect of your life: personal, public, and spiritual. So it's vital to get the answer right.
Pastor and best-selling author Mark Driscoll believes false identity is at the heart of many struggles - and that you can overcome them by having your true identity in Christ. In Who Do You Think You Are? Driscoll explores the question: "What does it mean to be 'in Christ'?" In the process he dissects the false-identity epidemic and, more important, provides the only solution - Jesus.

Understanding identity in Christ
I can highly recommend the book. Mark Driscoll explores the meaning of "In Christ" as our true Christian identity using Paul's letter to the Ephesians. The book is fascinating as it explores how people develop the identities that they ascribe to themselves. The real life examples that he uses illustrate how we can create negative self identies that can be harmful and destructive. The only sure identity is the one we are intended to have, the identity God designed us to have, that is the idenity of Jesus Christ.

Mark Driskoll forces you to look at yourself!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely! This book makes you take a look at yourself, and points you to a right understanding of who you are in God's eyes!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There are several moments that moved me, because Mark forces you to see where you have too high of an opinion of yourself, or too low. Amazingly we all have both at the same time!
