About this listen

The world has lost its magic - literally - and Fetch is done being a hero.

Once a detective, all he wants now is to run his café in peace. Sunder City is still recovering from the sudden and violent end of magic, and if one man can't solve all its problems, he can at least stop some people going hungry. But when a kid on the run shelters in Fetch's café, and a chain of gruesome murders begins among Sunder's high and mighty, trouble is brought to Fetch's door.

There's a word whispered on the wind, and that word is revolution...

A brand new fantasy adventure from Luke Arnold; a private detective solves cases in a fantasy world where magic has disappeared.

Praise for this series:

It’s felt like an age since the last Fetch novel and the latest entry doesn’t disappoint. The characters are well developed and the pacing of the story moves along at a rapid pace.

I really wish the bloody author wasn’t so busy seemingly doing ‘everything’ in addition to writing :). The cliffhanger ending has me hooked and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

If you haven’t started this series yet get it done. You won’t regret it!

I pre-ordered this book having really enjoyed what Luke Arnold has managed to do with a innovative reinterpretation of a mash up of high fantasy and film noir man for hire. I won't spoiler however this talented accidentally successful actor, intelligent writer and extremely competent narrator is a very talented soul in this world.

It helps to breakdown preconceived societal norms and look beyond the surface of the subconscious. Arguably helping people to challenge subconscious bias in an entertaining and informative way that leaves you open to engage with the content on various different levels depending on personal interpretation.

Life is too short for bad coffee and time well spent on hobby reading for me is audio format. 10 out of 10 will continue to recommend his books again and again.

Had me gripped from the start, trying to narrow down the whodunit alongside Fetch. so many questions left unanswered, can't wait for the next one!

Gripping story, fantastic narration

I had thought book 3 was the last and then this one appeared. I have loved each one and can barely put them down. Amazing world building and the noir elements fit perfectly.

I'm glad the stories keep coming
