brilliant book

The story was good but nothing really happened, I'm not necessarily wanting combat or massive conflicts but there's basically no social interactions that are going on and the only things that really happen are about the mcs progression in cultivation or alchemy. It was good to start with but with the lack of any character development and with the story only developing in one way(cultivation) it's becoming harder to enjoy the series. I think after this book I'll give the next one a try but if there's no progression with how the character interact with relationships, friends or otherwise, I will definitely stop at that book.

As always a top tier performance and a piece of literature that was deep and emotive. I did think that this type of genre would speak to me, but I must say that I'm hooked.
