It was sad to listen to incorrect pronunciation, in a book that mentions the Welsh language in a positive way that the narrator didn’t bother to learn even after reading how the alphabet differs. It was disappointing. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

This is an interesting, if concise, history of Wales. It is let down a lot by the narrator. I don't mind so much that he has an English accent, I am a Welsh man with an English accent myself. However, they really could have found someone who can actually pronounce the Welsh words and names that are in every other sentence! It is also delivered in a rather flat way, which makes it difficult to listen to for long periods.

This is my first audiobook on Welsh history so I can't compare to or recommend others.

I found this to be a fascinating book. Almost 3000 years of history packed in to 2.75 hours of listening. It is packed with interesting facts about the beautiful country that is Wales. It certainly kept me hooked and I listened to it in one sitting and I have no doubt it is one that I will go back to and listen again. Christian Neale's narration is excellent, I did think a Welsh narrator may have been used but Christian is clear and concise. Highly Recommended.
I hope to listen to more from this producer in the future, you are never too old to learn new things.
