its really good the mc is an edglord but his backstory is tragic so it understandable and he donsent posture or justify himself he knows who he is and is unapologetic

im always interested in new litrpg style books. i end up discarding quite a few in the first book as its a very hit n miss genre. this one has me firmly in its grasp.... excellent book, story, characters and progression arc so far. just the right balance of power and potential. looking forward to the next one.

Great LitRPG storytelling with very few flaws and few interesting twists in world building for the first half of the book. The MC, while offputting, has been intentionally written as such pretty well. However, the constantly nagging elven gf is one of the most annoying characters in any LitRPG

I personally can't stand the annoying comic relief shard companion, but I can see how it could be appealing to some others, even if I think the story would have been much better without it. Basically the author willingly added the equivalent of the obnoxious blue imp from Primal Hunter's web comic adaptation

The biggest issue in the story starts at the first dungeon, from there on forward the story makes no sense and is not even remotely connected to the earlier story. Instead it changes into a bizarre therapy session that ruins the book and lasts until the end of the book.
