The year 12,090 AD. It is a dark time for the world. Humanity is just crawling out from under 300 years of domination by the race of vampires known as the Nobility. Took a while to understand what was going on then it was great. Loved it

A fan of the OVAs, the book is interesting and I like a lot of the style and themes introduced. That being said, there's a lot of prose on how gorgeous the young girl is, broad is the back and chest of the handsome D are which lends weight to some of the criticism I've seen others provide on the writing.

Absolutely masterfully written. Vampires written in such a faithful and unique way. a true Fantasy story with clean page turning immersion. D is quite the Dark Knight in Gloomy armor. he reminds me of Characters like the man with no name in spaghetti westerns, rather than the first glance of ugh emo woe is me vampires that make me want to stake my own heart. make no mistake thought this beautifully written world is Cruel and ready to Devour your life. Absolutely going to read more and you should too if yer looking for something to spark your boredom from the drivel of current climate form modern media. 11/10 if you like Berserk and other Grimdark this is for you!

So bad it was funny. Felt like it was written by an adolescent. Was like listening to a 50s western. Was waiting for someone to say Timmys lost down the well. If the narrator has a day job he should really stick to that.

Imagine a sexist, self-insert dream written by a hormonal teenage boy who always wanted to be Castlevania Alucard but edgier and more brooding. Well, you don't have to actually imagine it because it exists and it's this book. I genuinely feel bad for the narrator who had to read this.
