Fluency was a random Audible suggestion after I listened to the first couple of Arthur C. Clarke "Rama" books, and i was looking for another spooky/ interesting derelict space craft kinda tale. Fluency captivated, as did its sequel, and The Druid Gene/ Inheritance which I eventually realized was in the same series/ universe. This intertwined elements of all the books characters and settings so well, I dreaded it ending.. and when it did - suddenly, like the first book! - I howled... but I love it. Jen's writing is fascinating and captivating, the characters engaging and interesting. She also allayed fears I had about having a forever one trick pony antagonist, that whilst foreboding, was secondary to the unfolding world building and exploration for me. Can't wait for the next installment!
