Awesome, most binge worthy audiobook i listened to in a long while. i don't know how i never heard of it before

Looking for a new series and this is quite interesting. THe performance is fine but has been speeded up a touch too much. Changing the playback speed to 0.8 is perfect.

Unsouled is not fun, I hate or pity everyone in it and its part of why I didn't finish the series the first time I tried reading it. BUT, its very well written, and what it lacks in fun it makes up for in foundation. this book sets the base for the entire series to build off of and while I think it could have potentially been shortened to about 6 hours so we can can move on as quickly as possible from this pathetic and hateful state of affairs, there is no question that it does give everything that follows it greater depth. as I write this I have reread the series and made it past the 4th book where I lost interest last time, which ironically is about when it really kicks off as the characters become more than helpless tools in the games of others and truly entertaining stuff starts happening. was it worth the chore of reading this book? yes. will I ever read this book again? not if I can help it. I will stress that this opinion does not come from the book being poorly written, its just not fun. its good in the way that tragedies are good, but rarely fun.
