I learned so much about trail running from this book. For a long time, I thought it was similar to pavement running, but I was wrong—they are almost like two different sports.This book provides a detailed introduction to trail running, covering everything from gear preparation and trail terrain to physical and mental preparation.

One part that I enjoyed a lot was the chapter on nutrition and hydration. It lists the foods a trail runner needs to obtain essential macronutrients. It also highlights the importance of hydration, discusses the risks of dehydration, and introduces a new concept to me: over-hydration. This book is a great starting point for anyone wanting to learn about trail running. It will inspire you to start your own trail running journey.

Having enjoyed walking or hiking trails for years, I learned so much about trail running. I enjoyed learning all about the gear, the preparation, the safety and the fun around trail running. I thought that the author did an excellent job of making this topic interesting by including fun caveats or mini narratives into the book. The only suggestion I had is that the quality of the audo production wasn't rich and full even though the voice was usually engaging. It sounds like the production was flat..
