My issue...

I love this author, I love this story and series! I actually like the narrator, but the biggest problem with this book is that this narrator pronounced Marquis Gray as Marqweese, instead of like Markeys. It was like nails on a chalkboard every time he said his name. Now sometimes if I read a story, I might say a name differently in my head. However, this name was not pronounced like this by previous narrators, so even consistency was an issue.

I really tried to like the narrator

The narrators voice is very pleasant and I really like him. Except he significantly diminished my listening experience by not pronouncing Marquise correctly. I literally cringed every time he said it. That being said he became Faelan effortlessly for me and I enjoyed that very much. I think I would like to listen to more books narrated by him in the future.

Good Storyline terrible narration

This is another good installation in the Brie's submission series. It was good learning more about Mr. Wallace/Falen and Mary. However, the narrator is horrible. His voices are overdone and his frequent mispronounced words destroy the experience - for example the narrator is incapable of saying Marquis - verytime he mentions Marquis Grey I want to scream the proper pronunciation

Personal thoughts

Since switching the narrators from the first books to now the characters have changed. Names are no longer pronounced the same and sometimes when the characters are having conversations it is difficult to tell which ones are involved.

Great except one thing...

The narrator was excellent for Faelan but the way he said "Marqwees"...UGH! The narrator needs to know how to pronounce all the words he reads.

The story continues with Falon

Although Falon is not my favorite Dom, this story overall was good. The narrator mispronounced Marquise Grey’s name which typically wouldn’t bother me but it happened numerous times and different ways. Also I thought the “hero” chapter at the end was unnecessary.

Todd's Story

This book was about Todd Wallace (Falon). As with the other books of the dom's POVs, this recaps some of the history between him and Brie, then covers the time of Thane's accident until shortly after his death. We also get more insight into the boy he killed in the car accident and the aftermath through Trevor's (the boy in the accident) parents' eyes. The narrator didn't do a great job with this book. He kept forgetting which voice he used for the characters which made it a little hard to follow the conversations.
