This is the sixth book in the Mafia Wars Series, a forbidden Dark Mafia Romance. I love this series of interconnected standalone stories. Liam and Hailee's story is captivating! Hailee is lovely, strong, and smart. Liam is ruthless, enigmatic, and protective. There is a lot going on in this story. I liked the action, and the twists and turns. Aaron Shedlock and Victoria Mei did a fantastic job with the narration. They are perfect as Liam and Hailee. They both have a beautiful voice, very pleasant to listen to. I HIGHLY recommend it! Looking forward to listening to Perfect Sinner, the next book in the Series!

Unchosen Ruler by Maggie Cole is a forbidden dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Victoria Mei. This is the sixth book in the Mafia Wars series. The book can be read as a standalone but the stories are interconnected.

I absolutely love Maggie's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Liam and Hailee. The chemistry between them was off the charts. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Perfect Sinner to be released on October 1, 2021 so I can get Nolan and Gemma's story.

Aaron and Victoria did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like forbidden romances, dark romances, mafia romances, or romantic suspense.

Maggie Cole never ceases to amaze me. I loved the Ivanov series and now starting with the OMalley’s I have a whole new appreciation for these Irish men! Liam is fresh out of jail. Adjusting to civilian life is not that easy and finding out about his dad has just made it that much more difficult. When he sees Hailee, he knows he has met his soulmate. Now to convince her. Hailee has always played it safe. The quiet girl is swept off her feet by the handsome Liam, but his past scares her. Explosive chemistry keeps her with him though. And when she tells her mom, life changes. Secrets, deceptions, danger, and passion, this book is filled with it all. I love seeing Nora and some of the Ivanov family, creating that continuity I love. Cole has a winning combination in this book and I am loving Liam’s new role. The story is love, passion and family and I can’t wait to see where she goes next. The epilogue has left me curious and I can’t wait for more.

Aaron Shedlock is a favorite of mine and he is amazing as Liam. Alpha protective, charming and that hint of danger, he brings a voice to Liam that is exactly what I love. Complimented by the voice of Victoria Mei, she comes in as Hailee. She is fabulous, giving Hailee that stubborn streak with a hint of bad girl under her good girl facade. Together they make a fantastic team and it is a listen you do not want to miss.

Great narration and continuation of the series. I'm looking forward to the next book. this series is well worth the credits you'll spend. I love the way we still get to hear from the characters/family from previous books as it adds layers and depth to the stories.
