About this listen

The best and worst the game has to offer is yet to come.

Illume has forged a path in the game not only for himself but for those he now considers family. When a new player makes himself known everything Illume held true about the game is called into question.

The endgame approaches with hard decisions that must be made.

Grab your drinking horn and sheath your blade, dear listener. For fans of Aleron Kong's The Land and Traviss Bagwell's Awaken Online, this one's for you.

Having enjoyed the 1st 4 I thought about time to set down what I think
Firstly, it's fun and entertaining
If you have a love for fantasy MMORPG or have aged and enjoyed DnD style games then you will enjoy this
As books these are not high fantasy or complex new systems, more a romp, an easy listen and enough action to keep things moving at a good pace.
The books are full of classic fantasy cliche and tropes with numerous references to modern film, fame and life culture that firmly fixes the image of the books premise
on the other hand, a few minor quibbles that I found distracting.
Use a thesaurus, I got so huffy over the constant use of 'huffed' as a descriptive for how someone speaks.
Secondly please stop with the constant repeats of stats every time something is put back on.
I know what the sword does, don't repeat it every yime you pick it up etc. This is not a way to achieve word count and got quite annoying
Lastly, the author seemed very uncomfortable writing the tomantic interactions. They just came over as clunky and immature compared yo the rest of the narrative which was a pity as it distracted a lot from the potential character relationship development
Overall, a good light read. Go for it and enjoy the ride

A fun journey
