I really enjoyed this story. I came across it in the sale, and found it a refreshing change to standard detective stories. I am looking forward to listening to more in this collection. The plot is easy to work out, but the description of the beautiful country and the characters are a real joy.

So glad I found this in thePlus catalogue.
Delightful .The descriptions of Ceylon as it was in 1930’s, conjured up a bygone era, some of it good and some not so good.
The narrator was excellent. He managed all the different accents brilliantly.
I have already downloaded the next two books,also on Plus,so free.

A rather irritating reading sounding rather dull and bored. I think the story was OK rather than really clever. The period setting was only briefly described.
