Summary

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Lorelei James comes a new story in her Blacktop Cowboys® series....

Where there's smoke....

Stirling Gradsky abandoned the corporate rat race for a more laidback lifestyle. So it's ironic she's stuck working with a hard-bodied, know-it-all scientist who treats her like a stoner instead of a stone cold business woman capable of running a large scale cannabis operation. Dr. Hot and Tattooed with the big...brain needs to stop sampling their product; he's under the half-baked idea that he's the boss.

Dr. Liam Argent's doctorate isn't in chemistry, but from the moment he meets his sexy new coworker, there's enough heat between them to short out all the lights in the grow house. First item on his agenda? Clearing up the sassy, blunt blonde's hazy notion that she's in charge.

Sparks fly as their attraction blazes. But can they weed out their differences without getting burned?

Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new listeners, it's an introduction to an author's world. And for fans, it's a bonus book in the author's series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.

Tripped out is right, but not in a good way

This was a disappointment for this wonderful series. A white woman with dreadlocks is not a romantic heroine in my book. Both characters were constantly smoking and getting high off marijuana. There was entirely too much discussion on the subject of growing & creating new strains of it. It was much more a “how to book” than a romance. Their playing around and chemistry just got totally lost among all the weed. Thankfully it’s not my first book by this author cause it would have been my last. It did have great narration by Ms Chase.

Not up to the standard

The narrator should get her pronunciation under control. The story was off. Lorelei you are better than these short stories.

Pothead romance

Somewhat silly romance revolving around the growing and selling of pot. The heroine is a sister of a precious character in the series. Narration is fair for the female voices but not so great for the males. The story is short and the dialogue is snappy so a good choice for the Escape Package but not worth paying a whole credit.

Oh the butchering of the name "Calliope"

Love the story, it would help if the narrator pronounced things correctly, takes away from the story.

Should not be part of this series

This book was the worst in the series by Lorelei James. It's as if Bill and Ted (yes, from the movie) tried to write a story and it just keeps coming back to getting high. I couldn't find much subsistence in this one and it is completely out of scope in the Blacktop Cowboy series.
