Not only is this book extremely well researched, evidence-based, and beautifully written and formatted (just check the pdf included!!!), it's incredibly in-depth. It does a deep dive into shadow work, referring to Jung's archetypes, and offers self-awareness prompts at the end of every chapter. The author consistently suggests self compassion, intuitive drawing, and journal writing throughout the phases of shadow work. As a reader, I felt she was right there beside me, walking me through a valuable process. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is psychologically-minded.

The steps are simple to follow, even if you’ve never done anything like this before. There’s a ton of stuff to help you out, like journal prompts and activities that make you think about your emotions and how to deal with them. It also talks about how shadow work can help with things like getting through tough times or fixing problems in relationships. By the end, it’s about learning to accept all parts of yourself and feel better about who you are. It’s a great listen if you want to figure yourself out a little more.
