About this listen
The doctor can heal me, but can he keep me safe?
My brother has been embezzling from his employers. Unfortunately, when I accidentally discover that information, I end up hurled straight into the Potomac. If it weren’t for Dr. Derek Carlisle, I’d be fish food.
When he offers more than medical help, I bolt. It’s not his job to protect me, even if the older man is everything I’ve ever wanted.
The young man needs a protector.
From the moment I see him, I know Seb is more than a patient. I’ve never been tempted to cross the patient/doctor line before. For him? I’ll do it in a heartbeat.
His brother wants to hurt him, and he needs someone to keep him safe. Me. Except, I can’t keep my hands off of him. Is a man as inexperienced as Seb ready for something more than a few nights of fun? I need to find out before keeping him safe breaks my heart.
Touch and Go features heroes with an age gap, danger lurking all around, and a healthy dose of hurt/comfort. The brothers of Vanguard Towers are at the front lines of love, and Derek is only the first to fall.

I liked the story of Seb and Derek. It was entertaining and exciting and I listened to the audiobook within two days.
When Seb arrives in the emergency room, he meets Derek. He’s the doctor treating him. He discovers further injuries to Seb, who has excuses for having fallen clumsily.
When an emergency is brought in the next day, which had been fished from the Potomac River and had to be resurrected, Derek is quite astonished when he discovers that it is Sebastian. Derek’s instinct for self-defence is awakened, because he can’t imagine Sebastian being suicidal.
Seb discovered something on his brother’s computer that wasn’t meant for his eyes. And he doesn’t know what danger he’s in.
I liked the author’s loose and fluid writing style and was captivated from the beginning of the story.
I love Derek and his brothers. These characters are real and far from perfect, and yet they harmonize quite well as a family. Seb on the other hand has only his brother and the relationship between the two has always been difficult.
Seb and Derek are likeable protagonists and there are budding feelings between the two who are actually quite cute together. But do they have a chance?
The story is entertaining and emotionally told, and I found it exciting. I also liked the interaction between the brothers very much.
I didn’t know Joseph Thorson as a narrator before, but he did a good job. The voices of the protagonists were clearly distinguishable and the narrative tempo was also fine.
I’m looking forward to the next volume of the series!
