About this listen

Brax is too young. Too vulnerable. Too perfect. My dominant nature craves someone to care for. Someone to command. Brax could be that guy, if the circumstances weren’t all wrong.

His brothers would kill me if I hurt him. So would my FBI partner. That doesn’t mean I can stay away. The young artist is everything I want in a partner. And when danger comes for him, I need to keep him safe. But how can I keep him forever?

I’ll never be good enough. My brothers got me off the streets, but Ry doesn’t know the truth. I’m dirty. I’ve done things I’m not proud of. Things none of my former boyfriends could see past. Why would Ry be any different?

He sees the world in black and white. I know where I stand. But he looks at me with a heat I can’t ignore. And when I’m in danger, he keeps me safe. Will he accept me when he learns the truth?

I am beginning to think that this is my favorite series Aiden Bates has written, and I’ve read several. I’m not sure I can pick a favorite couple from this series, though. Each couple has been wonderful and charming, in their own way.

Right away I loved how protective Ryland was of Brax. Not only that, he seems to really get him, on a level Brax’s brothers haven’t even reached. It’s swoon worthy stuff. Their chemistry is off the charts, and if two people truly can be made for each other, they’re it.

This was a well written story, with all the lovable guys we’ve come to know. We meet a few more, as well. I love how everyone is in each book. It’s like never having to say goodbye. Also...I really want a kitten, now.

The storyline included more than just romance and steam. There were scumbag exes, a mystery that was struggling to be solved, and lots of family hijinks. I loved every moment of it, too.

I really enjoyed Guillaume Dubois’ voice. This was the first time I’ve heard him narrate anything, and I felt he did a great job bringing the story to life. While there wasn’t a huge difference between voices, there were subtle differences that reflected their personalities. Because of that, it was easy to know who was talking. He was great with emotions throughout the story. I’d listen to his narration again, gladly.

A fantastic story by Aiden Bates. Brax and Ry might be made for each other but there where first some hoops to jump thru, including but not limited to get rid of a bad boyfriend. Guillaume Dubois did a magnificent job in bring the characters to life. The series is additive and keeps you hoping they all find love. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Fantastic addition

Brax and Ryland's romance was wonderfully sweet and steamy, despite its rocky start. Guillaume is a new narrator for me, and I really enjoyed the way he interpreted these characters. Brax was one of those characters that I couldn't help but fall in love with right away, and seeing him keep giving Ian chance after chance made me so frustrated. As upset as I was about the catalyst for Brax finally ending things with him, it did make my heart happy to see Ryland step up and be the protector Brax had been searching for all along. I didn't really understand their insistence on pursuing a physical relationship without strings attached, but the two of them were so sweet together that I knew it'd only be a matter of time before that changed. While Brax and Ryland's romance was undoubtably the main storyline of this book, I was pretty satisfied with the conclusion of Ryland's forgery case and Brax's art show. Unlike some stories that have a bunch of manufactured drama, Brax and Ryland's book was refreshingly realistic, as if I'd gotten a glimpse into the life of an actual couple living out their usual routine together.

A sweet romance with two lovable guys

This is another brilliant book in the series as we follow Brax who has some problems to overcome especially an abusive boyfriend. When in need he contacts Ryland who he has had a crush on for years but believes he has no chance.
I like how sweet and caring Ryland is with Brax and his caring Dom side comes out.
The narrator also does a brilliant job with bringing the characters to life.

This is Brax's book from Vanguard towers. I'm really enjoying these brothers. Brax his the youngest and has hard a rough life. He still suffers the consequences of that. Ry is the FBI partner of one of this brothers. I love how they come together and how Ry is so supportive of Brax. This can be a stand alone but the series is great and I'd recommend at least reading/listening too the 1st book to get the back story. The narrator did a good job and I enjoyed the listen.

Love these brothers
