About this listen

A private investigator chases a missing East India Company man. Down to his last lead, the investigator stumbles upon a sailor telling the tale of a ship lost at sea with dwindling supplies, a tyrannical captain, a false holy man, and a silver-tongued first mate. The solitary ship is a brutal and political place, where morals are tested, alliances forged, and lives lost. Could this have been the fate of the missing man?

Every scene was rich with description and detail, drawing me amongst the characters. I got my sea legs just listening to this.

Trapped in the atmosphere

the story was beautifully written. I was really thrown into the story and found myself finishing the whole book in one sitting. I will probably wait a few weeks and listen to this again. I feel like it was so packed full of really well written metaphors that entranced me further. the narration was also so amazingly satisfying to listen to and really helped me lock into the story. loved all the voices for the different characters. I can be pretty picky about narrations but this was incredible, truly fantastic. need more from both the writer and narrator.

the story's beautiful metaphors, captivating storyline and the narrators fantastic presence.
