The war for Haarwatch has been won, granting Felix a small respite. His time is spent struggling to restore the city with his people, yet trouble brews on the horizon. The Archon has not sat idle while Felix consolidated his power, and the ancient seals upon his prison have been broken.

Guided by a Territorial Quest, Felix and his allies find themselves in the unenviable position of needing to split their forces as the drums of war resume. The Archon threatens all, but the Inquisition isn't ready to accept their failures in Haarwatch.

Felix must return to the Foglands, to the Waterfall Temple he once claimed as shelter. If he doesn't, and the Archon secures the power hidden behind the Door of the Lidless Eye...there's no telling what may happen. This book is highly recommended it is nicely paced and travis is an excellent narrator highly recommend this series it is simply amazing

The pacing of this series is starting to get to me now. I still like it, but I’m slowly losing interest but that might be burn out talking, these books are long as sin, The character developments hasn’t felt much of any besides Felix unrelenting willpower, the archon for this build up although feels like a threat I’m just happy he is done it. The struggle with the Maw was more interesting.

Nothing much to say other then amazing, good story telling with every new book there's always more world building. Then there's the action which is shown in a detailed yet simple ways which makes imaging the scenes even better.

Still wouldn't call it epic, but is finally doesn't read like the first novel of a fledgling author.
The plot had the best pacing thus far imho, characters got much more care than in previous installments.
I will say, the constant bombardment of skill ups during battle is still annoying, they just never end! All Felix has to do is fart and bash *skill increased, ellipsis skill increased, Pit skill increased* etc.

I have purchased The next few books and I gotta say I'm going to start on the next right away :-)

ps: I'm hoping.... Eve (evie?) gets knocked down a notch, whenever she's part of a scene she get pigeonholed into smartarse commentary. Like every-single-time she has something smarmy to add, it's jarring.
