About this listen

When Cameron and Eleanor Sexton arrive home to find their teenage babysitter missing, their immediate concern is for their young daughter. Detective Sergeant Jessica Daniel is dispatched to find out what's going on, but with all apparently well, she thinks she's been sent on a fool's errand.

Once again I really enjoyed this book, the plot is great, normally I can gess the killer but in these books I have to think really hard

Wilkinson started off with a cracker storyline. Lots of intrigue and suspense and for a time I was hooked. Yet as the storyline developed its twists and turns were less authentic and Wilkinson himself became lost amongst the red herrings only to piece them together with fraying cotton!
Worth a read/listen and Becky Hindly is fantastic as Narrater- one of the very best. But "Thicker than Water", not one of Kerry Wilkinson's best, and I arrived with high expectations.

A classic it isn't, but well worth a listen!

The missing book finally on audio! This did mean I listened to them out of order but did fill in some of the gaps for me. I did buy the paperback but thankfully this became available before I got too far in!

I have enjoyed every single book in this series - excellent book and great narration - kept me in the story and didn't feel my mind was wondering while listening as sometimes it does when I just can't get into a book. I do think you should read them in order to understand the background bits.

to be honest, like a lot of his stories, it's a slow burner. if not for the promise of more Jes, you might give up. but you know by now it always builds into something great. and boy did it deliver!
