About this listen

Full of explosive magic, searing romance, and heartbreaking betrayal, These Infinite Threads is the breathtaking sequel to the instant New York Times and Sunday Times bestseller This Woven Kingdom

With the heat of a kiss, the walls between Alizeh, the long-lost heir to an ancient Jinn kingdom, and Kamran, the crown prince of the Ardunian empire, have crumbled. And so have both of their lives.

Kamran’s grandfather, the king of Ardunia, lays dead, the terrible secret of his deal with the devil exposed to the world. Cyrus, the mysterious copper-haired royal, has stolen Alizeh away to Tulan, the neighboring kingdom where he rules. Cyrus has made his own deal with the devil—one that would require Alizeh to betray her feelings for Kamran if she’s to reclaim the Jinn throne.

Alizeh wants nothing to do with Cyrus, or his deal with Iblees. But with no means of escaping Tulan, and with the tantalizing promise of fulfilling her destiny as the heir to the Jinn, she’s forced to wonder whether she can set aside her emotions—and finally become the queen her people need.

Kamran, meanwhile, is picking up the pieces of his broken kingdom. Facing betrayal at every turn, all he knows for certain is that he must go to Tulan to avenge his grandfather. He can only hope that Alizeh will be waiting for him there—and that she’s not yet become queen of Tulan.

“In a tale as exquisitely crafted as one of Alizeh’s own garments, Mafi weaves a spell of destiny and danger, forbidden love and courtly intrigue, magic and revolution.”—Cassandra Clare, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Last Hours

‘This story is so magical and transportive that I fully expected the book would know the moment I'd finished – within hours, no less – and promptly unravel into a pile of jewels and silks in my hands. Mafi's diamond-bright lyrical voice weaves a tale that is gilded in magic, laced with subterfuge, adorned with the brocade of a tortuous romance, and richly embroidered with Persian mythology. I cannot wait for more.’ – Roshani Chokshi, New York Times bestselling author of The Gilded Wolves

the narrator puts so much effort into making the characters come to life 🙏🏽 and the story is great if you're into love triangles and handsome men 🤧

the narrator is soooo good

The author is talented, no doubt about that! I'm going to read Book 3 because I loved Book 1 so much. However, Book 2 lacks movement, pace and a general sense of action. It's very character- and relationship-driven, and it's clearly crafted to put particular characters in certain lights. Not too impressed.

That Bit In Between Book 1 and Book 3

it's a decent book, it's just so slow and next to nothing happens. except for the first and last chapter.

the performance is excellent but the book is so slow

Loved it! I can't wait for the next book. I'm not really a romance fan but I do love fantasy. This book has plenty of both. Without being overly gushy.

Magical Romance.

The narrater Kate does a very good job at dividing each character when she speak, I have really enjoyed listening to her reading this book.

The book is a 3 for me, I felt as many, many, many things happened in the space of about 2/3 days. I would have liked it more if we had more information and if it covered a longer period of time, I am tho intrigued by the story and will get the third book once is out.

Alright overall

Narrator was so bad I had to stop listening and bought it in hardback instead. Storyline was as good as the first - looking forward to the 3rd book to see how it all wraps up

Awful Narrator Brilliant Story

Tahereh Mafi strikes again with this beautiful masterpiece! I said it before and I will say it again, no one can paint with words like Tahereh does. Every scene comes to life like with a touch of magic pencil, not only I can see what characters are wearing but also the colour and texture of the fabric, how does it feel against your skin. Her created world is rich and lush with gentle dragons and dark prophecies. And also let’s not forget about the romance! If something bad will happen to Cyrus in the next book, heads will fall!!!

Tahereh Mafi is a queen!

I’m enjoying this story and the narrator is brilliant! My gripe is that the pace is really slow …. Too much detail and explanation in some places instead of plot!

Very slow in some places and should have covered more ground!
