Love the characters and the narration!
I absolutely loved this YA fantasy. It was full of action, suspense and had a great set of characters.
I really liked the narration it kept me engaged with the story and I really enjoyed listening to it.
Once I got into the story I found I was listening whenever I got the chance. In the car while on the way to and from work or whilst cooking meals or doing housework.
I liked the characters and the different powers each had. The bond they all had was great! In theory they should have been enemies but they all worked well together. I also loved Mrs D she was the best!
I’m looking forward to listening to the next book in the series to see what the spook crew get up to next.

Qotd: Do you prefer audiobooks or a physical/ebook?
Aotd: I definitely prefer reading the words on a page of a book as I feel like I absorb each word as I read it. But the narrator for The Younglings is amazing and definitely fits the book and made me engage with the story.
The Younglings Shadows and Magic is about a boy called Quinn and his best friend Eve. I adore their relationship from the word go as you can tell Quinn likes her more than a friend. When he meets his dad and discovers his demon heritage you can feel how Quinn feels through the narrator- it's like he was made to be Quinn. All the anger, Confusion, pain, worry. Knowing that everytime he has gotten angry and felt something else stirring its actually his demon blood inside of him. Then the panic in telling Eve about what he truly is to find out that she actually has Angel blood and can heal animals among other things. It's all too much for our poor Quinn to take.
When Eves life is on the line because of her angelic blood, Quinns only thought is to save her.
But can Eve ever love Quinn back? Can an Angel fall in love with a Demon?
I won't spoil the book, you'll have to read it for yourself!
Also Mrs D the demon nanny is the nanny everyone needs 👌🐍
I'm in love with Leo!!!! He's bloody brilliant and I need him as my best friend NOW.
I cant get over how much I truly enjoyed this! Definitely one of my favorite reads/listens this year!
This is definitely a book for YA fans of buffy, true blood, vampire academy and the mortal instruments series!
