dissapointing

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yes the narrator

Would you be willing to try another book from Melody Anne? Why or why not?

yes, I enjoyed a previous book

Would you be willing to try another one of Lilly Swan’s performances?

no she reads to quickly, all the sentences run together and her male voice is awful

Could you see The Tycoon's Revenge being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?

Matt Bomer would be the male lead, not sure about the female lead

Loved the story

I loved this in book form so when I saw it on audible I had to get it.
My heart went out to the main characters in the book so much miss understanding and with a child stuck in the middle. Can't wait for the rest of the series to go on to audible, even though I have read them

I just can't.

No. There is no way this story is longer than one chapter. I'm sorry. It's so unbelievable that he hasn't kept track on what she was doing as his revenge was base on hurting her. THERE'S NO WAY!

Stupid, stupid people

This book is causing me to have violent urges. I want to beat both main characters to death with a ball peen hammer. The main conflict in the story is contingent upon a misunderstanding that occurred ten years before and could be resolved with a simple conversation that the two should have had within ten minutes of reuniting. Not only that, but this misunderstanding happens because the two characters implicitly trust what another, thoroughly untrustworthy character tells them. Neither likes or trusts this third character, but for the sake of the main conflict they trust him over each other. Both are portrayed as intelligent accomplished people, but I'm 3/4 of the way through now and they still haven't had the one conversation that would resolve everything. While I'm aware that a quick resolution would make this a much shorter book, I'd be fine with that. This book would be too long at two pages.

Vomit worthy ending

6 1/2 hours of angst, tension and revenge. It took 4 minutes for the main characters to clear everything up. ”I love you” and “I’m sorry”. No emotion, no anger, no real human reactions. This wasn’t worth the paper it was written on. Oh wait, it’s an audiobook, ...no that’s still right it’s not worth the paper it’s written on.

What Era are we in?

This is the first book I have almost had to stop listening to. I unfortunately am cursed with the need to finish all the books I start no matter how bad they are, but this one was a struggle. Between the poor performance by Ms. Swan, the cheesey dialogue and the back and forth between "proper English" and modern dialogue I couldn't stop cringing and rolling my eyes. The story had great bones, but the filler was terrible. I kept wondering if we were in 17th century England or modern days. I will give one more book in this series a chance, seeing that it's narrated by a different person and truly the story lines are solid so I haven't given up on this author just yet.

Woman is a doormat!

The romantic leads are one dimensional. The dialog is stiff. No one talks the way these people talk. The story line strains anyone's idea of credibility. Nobody gets that far in the business world with such a lack of communication skills. He's supposed to be a shrewd business man. She has no dignity or professionalism, and he treats her like a toilet bowl all the way to the end. Then covers it all up with,"I'm sorry".

So incredibly stupid

Waste of time, don't do it! It's one misunderstanding that's dragged through way too many chapters. Honestly it could have easily been resolved with a single conversation soon after they reunited. Instead its 7 hours of filler until that conversation happens and poof, all is resolved. If you're gonna drag it out that long, at least make the final confrontation substantial. Massive eye-roll. So insulting any reader's intelligence.

Don’t do it!

Terrible! I can’t believe I finished this one. The writing was one dimensional and the storyline was infuriating. Two people are in love and plan to run away together and get married but when the main female characters dad (who hates the main male character) shows up and tells him that his daughter we doesn’t love him and wants to pay him off to go away at her request ... he just believes the lie and immediately hates her and plans to take her and her family down. And when he never shows up to run away with her she is just like... I guess he never loved me. I give up. So 10 yrs later they see each other and despite hating one another they screw right away. And do they put the past misunderstandings to rest... no they continue to hate each other while both loving each other secretly. So painful and poorly written. Also the narrator is painful. Between the writing and the narration I just wanted to throw my phone. Sorry. I don’t usually write such negative reviews but I’m mad that I wasted too much time on this one. Save yourself! Lol

It’s a little slow and frustrating

The book was ok, would have been better with a better narrator. She was a little flat. The story was a bit unbelievable and frustrating that it took so long to get over the conflict. But over all a okay read.
