Summary

For five years Raj Whitehall has led his men across the face of the planet Bellevue. With saber and bayonet he has conquered one barbarian nation after another. Now his greatest enemy is his own overlord, Barholm Clerett, who’s so paranoid of Raj’s victories that he is reduced to only one thought: Raj Whitehall must die.

One of my all time favorites !

I tried this series decades ago when it first came out . Waiting in anticipation for each book . My regret has been that there wasn’t many more in this series . There is a spin-off ( the chosen ) , ( the reformer ) . I’m hopeful there will be more on audio . I find myself listening to many more books these days as the pandemic continues , as the isolation must be endured . I can still listen and do minor chores around my house . The awesome well thought out books in this series are a joy .

Excellent

A story that holds forth with ideas that will not change. Ideas that are true for all ages. This story was written over 20 years ago and still as good when I read first!

Book is not associated with the rest of the series

It has been many years since I read the series, but I thought I remembered the original books were a series of five. I was correct. Audible does not include this book. the fifth book, as part of 'The General' series.
