Zom-B is a radical new series about a zombie apocalypse, told in the first person by one of its victims. The series combines classic Shan action with a fiendishly twisting plot and hard-hitting and thought-provoking moral questions dealing with racism, abuse of power, and more. This is challenging material, which will captivate existing Shan fans and bring in many new ones. As Darren says, "It's a big, sprawling, vicious tale...a grisly piece of escapism, and a barbed look at the world in which we live. Each book in the series is short, fast-paced, and bloody. A high body-count is guaranteed!"

Thrilling Sequel
After buying the first story to listen to on a long car journey with my teenage sons, they begged me to buy the second one. It was no less gripping and magical than the first having all the family hooked to find out what was going to happen next. Narrated by Will Thorp (not the same person who narrated the first) took some getting used to, he did an excellent job.

Shame about narrator’s accent
Great story but found the narrator’s accent an irritant. It’s full of glottal stops - coun’y for county; wa’er for water, etc. It sounds like a Londoner putting on a Lancashire accent. The east Lancashire accent, which is where our characters come from, puts a heavy emphasis on a T. I’ve never heard a Lancastrian - I’m one myself - use a glottal stop like this. The narrator of the first book much better.

Love the Story, Some Poor Pronunciation
The story is fantastic, and the narrator performs reasonably well, apart form some very important pronunciation. For anyone who knows what a boggart is, the narrator pronounces it 'bog-ART' not 'BOG-gut' which is jarring to hear and detracts from the story.

Good story
Purchased this straight after listening to the first book in the series. The story is engaging enough, but I probably won’t listen to any more in the series as the story is a little predictable & Im not quite invested in the main characters enough to have to know what happens to them. I’m afraid I find the accent in this series quite grating, this is just personal preference, but it’s enough for me not to want to download any more books.

Loved the book
As much as I loved the book and I did the readers voices weren’t as great at the previous book the bane sounded like the spook at times and I just didn’t enjoy listening as much as I have done the previous 2. Hopefully 3 will be better.
