Found this hard going as narrator ruined the flow and tone. Very monotone I’m afraid. Male “voices” awful and Heather character totally lost in narration from feisty one in DCI Logan books.

I love JD Kirk books and this new one was up there with one of my favourites! Couldn't wait to listen it was so gripping. Pretty guresome with a brilliant twist! Can't wait for the next book in the series.

Really enjoyed the characters and the plot. Narration was good. It had me laughing out loud several times too. I do love a book that’s got a bit of humour as well as murder and a twisty plot.

My new favourite detective

The story is great however I miss Angus King. It’s just not the same without him.

Having read & Listened to all Jack Logan books, I thought I'd give this a try. And I wasn't disappointed. Jack Logan and others got a mention in the book, and it was great to finally learn more about Heather, her having been written in with Jack Logan.
I wasn't sure about the narrator at first, as always listen with Angus King as narrator for JD Kirk. But she was, ace,(excuse the pun) Cathleen McCarron read this book beautifully and the characters were brought to life.
Looking forward to the next one in January. praying Cathleen McCarron narrates, This Little Piggy!
