Another nail biting can’t-put-it down story line . Look forward to the next one

J D Kirk does it again

Simply not up to J D Kirk’s usual standard - I’m a fan; read everything published from day one but this wasn’t the best. Quite cliched - demoted DCI having attacked a suspect; which 23 books have we heard that in before!
Too much time spent on Filson’s father’s dementia when it’s obvious he should have been in a nursing home. There are not enough characters for you not to guess (know) who must have done it. There are plot holes all over the place and the denouement suddenly appears from almost nowhere prompted by an ill-chosen and wearisome teenage girl character who, I guess, is supposed to be endearing but actually is a distraction.
Sadly not your best. I hope we can get back to Logan as soon as possible!

Absolutely fantastic and love how all the characters from the other series all come together and have their own back stories. Fascinated to know if the author always planned these timelines - amazing

I’ve waited with some trepidation for this book as I love the Jack Logan series and didn’t want to be disappointed.Thanks to a brilliant author and great narration I’m hooked.I liked Heather after meeting her in previous books and it was great to get more of her back story.I’d like to see her working with Hoon as they have similar traits and hope this is the start of a very long series.
