Summary
Jenny discovers her days are numbered at the same time she discovers her husband is having an affair...as is her life wasn't tough enough already. Two tricky teenagers, her mother's constant complaints, friends who aren't up to the job and a career which has been spiralling downwards. And now a cheating husband and a death sentence.
Jenny vows to keep both catastrophes a secret. She takes her life - and death - into her own hands and decides to live as she did when she was happiest...in 1996. She plans a spectacular 1990s themed party in place of a wake that she will attend. But will she be able to keep her secrets for long enough?

Loved the book but hated the narration.

great read
it was a great read but wee bit disappointed with the ending could have said what happened with the kids and all that. But over all a good read! 😊

different and I loved it
I cried...won't lie, absolutely loved it. A hard thing to write about and even read but it was wonderful and the emotions were incredibly raw and real.

Different and enjoyable
Enjoyed this story, it was different to a lot of others which all seem to follow the same theme. i recommend you read or listen to it, you will enjoy

Super book! Thought provoking!!
When I realised the book involved a terminal illness I almost sent it back as it is not really the kind of book i prefer! However I am so glad I continued to listen as it was just a very beautiful thought provoking book! It is also inspiring to live, laugh and love in the moment!

I laughed and I cried
At first I was worried it was going to upset me to listen to this story being menopausal and emotional!
But it has the right balance of sorrow and laughter. I enjoyed listening to it and will listen to more Tracy Bloom books! Especially as she's from my home town and hearing familiar places made me smile!

Glad I picked this book.
Strange to say but it had quite a bit of fun in it despite the overall theme.

Amazing book
What an amazing book. It made me laugh, cry and really think about life. It was a joy to read even though at times it was so sad. But as I say some parts were funny, I recommend this book as one of the best I've ever read/listened to.
