The old basics still ring true today and you can see why this is Warren Buffet's bread and butter. Certainly not the only book I'll be reading to further my stock trading knowledge but a great base to build from.

Concise and easy to follow

this book is a must read when it comes to value investing. The examples, however, are quite old but the guideline can be applied and must be applied for long term investment strategy. In short, if you like speculate (scalping, day trading, swing trading and so on) this book is not for you.

This is a classic book on value and I am not sure whether the narrator was asked to cut short his time (to get the best value) He seems to be in a hurry and I would recommend buying the book itself. In the end thats what I did. The narrator did cause me a serious headache.

I do not have to talk about the value of this book and the contents in it , he only reason I put up with the narrator and heard the full audio for only one and only time.

Please read the previous reviewers comment and I would strongly recommend audible to do the book with a new narrator.

The remaining 2 stars as a negative only because of the audio format (the narrator again)

What a book and what a narrator!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I am a follower of Warren Buffet and I found out that Benjamin Graham being his teacher. I rushed to read more. I have read books by Robert Kiyosaki and found that Benjamin cut to the core of value investing than any modern day investors guide. I can see why this man is attribute to creating the investors bible called "Security Analysis".

Word of warning, "Security Analysis " reads like a physics textbook, I advise buying the kindle version. Since there are charts and other things you will need to review. IF you want a summary of the idea's he outlined in the book. This book is the next best thing.

What did you like best about this story?

It connected to something that I have tried to reconcile my whole life. In this modern day, there are so many quick rich schemes and snake oil sales men telling you how to make money quick. There are fundamental things in this book that reaffirmed my ideology and my slow and stead approach to stock investing.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The breakdown of fund and index trackers. Showing how Trackers over the long period was better performing through mathematical representation.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

You'd find it hard to find a better book on value investing than this one. Written over 50 years ago there have been many newer versions printed with updates on the numbers and with recommendations from people such as Warren Buffett it has to be worth the money.

A few things you need to understand before reading/listening is what the difference between common stocks and bonds of all kinds are and also what the DJIA (Dow Jones Industrial Average) is. With these basics under your belt the book makes good listening/reading. Can be tough to get through if it's the first time you are reading about investing but keep reading/listening... you'll be glad you did.

This book won't make you rich in the short term but certainly could lead to riches in the future!! Good Luck and enjoy!

Excellent book but can be difficult
