About this listen

Broken and lost, Michael is barely surviving paycheck to paycheck when he stumbles upon a mysterious dungeon hidden deep in the Appalachian mountains.

The magical power and promise of riches lure him into participating in dangerous trials in the hopes of changing his life.

It does, but he's not the only one vying for the rewards waiting for those bold enough to try. Some of the people he meets become allies, while others bitter foes driven by greed and ambition.

Meanwhile, the world outside continues on. Will it be ready when the magic breaks free of the dungeon?

Michael hatches a plan to unite the modern world under the Unity Corporation and leverage the magic to usher in an age of prosperity and peace. But, with enemies lurking around every corner, can one man harness the chaos of a magical apocalypse with dreams of building a new world?

I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. There is plenty of scope it feels like we've just touched the surface. If you like weak to strong protagonists this is for you. There are a few niggly bits when it comes to the MC naivety but he does get better. Will definitely get the next book.
