Summary
A piebald mare. Her chosen human. A bond with the power to change everything.
The human race has all but destroyed itself and those who remain know that they must avoid repeating the mistakes of their ancestors. But it’s extremely difficult. Without horses, it would be impossible.
Amarilla is one of those chosen by a horse as a Bond-Partner. She looks forward to a lifetime of learning from her horse and of passing on the mare’s wisdom to those seeking help. first in an intriguing series
When I first read this book little did I know that it would be the beginning a of an intriguing journey. The combination of science fantasy / fiction in a world that is both familiar and unknown, along with my favourite animal types (horses/dogs) along with great writing is a sure-fire winner!

A Wonderful book.
I have read all of the books in the Horses Know series. I have found them quite thought provoking. I have to say I began looking at my own horses in a different way, wondering what they are thinking.
To listen to the audible book has bought the characters alive. If you love horses you will love these books.
I can't wait for the next one.

Beautiful, thought provoking book
I love the books, and I'm so happy that I can now listen to them while doing other things. The narrator is great and transports me into the world. The story is beautiful and thought provoking. Definitely a book I go back to.

thought provoking stories
I love the horses know books and was so happy to be able to listen to the first book while I worked, a great story but I really didn't like the voice that the narrator used for justin, maybe just me but definitely not what I imagined him to sound like which did spoil the experience for me
