well worth a read.

even though the book is intended for a female audiences, it still as many golden nuggets of information and the approach to the elimination of foods makes it easier to focus your initial goals.

I have listened to enough to have bought several pounds of vegetables. I have reconciled myself to not drinking alcohol. Let's see what happens.

Life Changing - literally

Where does The Hormone Reset Diet rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This really was a great listen - and not too loaded with super scientific lingo... to the point, informative and really made me feel like this is achievable. I think EVERYONE would benefit from listening and learning about diet and the impact it has on our body and vice versa, in the age we live in, there are so many illnesses that can be reversed with diet. We don't need to live in ignorance and with health issues.

Too much information for audio

This book is very interesting and I was excited to hear about the science of balancing my hormones but there is way to much information for an audio book. The enhancement is 120 pages... I gave up trying to remember and bookmark important information. I ordered the paper copy.

Good if you aren't healthy to start

This book is great for those folks who are looking to kick start their health or weight loss journey, however, if you're already living a healthy and active life, there are better resources out there to detox and reset your hormone imbalance. Just one woman's opinion!

Gimmicky

The narrator was better for this book, but The Hormone Cure has more realistic strategies -- this book feels very all-or-nothing and even 21 days of this kind of perfection seems impossible.

Unrealistic

I've listened to the audiobook twice to try and study up before starting on the plan, and the more I listen the less I think this program would be realistic for most people to follow. I also think any weight loss would be the natural result of the huge decrease in the calories consumed each day from following the plan than as a result of any hormone resetting. I also question some of her data and reasoning. For instance in meatless, she raves about the decrease in testosterone levels shown in men going meatless, but it's my understanding that decreased testosterone in men is an unfavorable health condition. She also demands in the second reset that you decrease your sugar intake to no more than 15 grams per day, which she says is less than the 25 grams recommended by the American Heart Association. The AHA recommendation is for no more than 25 grams of ADDED sugar per day, which they differentiate from naturally occurring sugar. By taking out sugar in reset 2 and basically removing fruit and all grains thereafter, her plan is nothing more than the Atkins diet on steroids done without red meat and caffeine free. I was very excited at first to try it, but the more I studied it, the more jaded I became. I would love to see some reviews from people - preferably working women who have a husband and kids to feed, too - who have actually done the plan to a T and hear their experiences before I return the book.

I'm recommending to all my friends and clients

This book makes so much sense regarding diet and health and hormones. I don't want to cut out meat and alcohol and sugar and gluten and mainly eat a plant based diet, but it works!!!
I gave it low performance because the recording is robotic sounding.

Not much different from other diets

Useful information. The narrator is excellent. Very soothing voice. Some of the advice is a little esoteric for me. Essentially the same advice as other nutritional books in a different format: restricted carbohydrates, eat more fiber, less meet, lean protein etc

Excellent format for this material

I read a couple other reviews that said this was not an appropriate book for audio, because there is so much detailed information presented. However, I found it to be helpful because diet books are invariably tedious, and I get overwhelmed or bored, and there’s always something else I would rather be reading. The narration was great, the language was friendly and familiar, but there is an authority of science behind it. The additional material that comes with this audiobook is substantial to the point of being excessive: 60 pages is a lot to print out! But it’s nice that it is provided.
