Summary

In awe of her DNA, at war with her anxiety and at odds with her heartstrings, author Kaitlyn Wylde is never at a loss for words. In her new collection, The Head, The Heart & The Home, she gives her listeners orchestra seats to a timeless drama of love and intimacy, and struggling with the absence of them. Under the white-knuckled grip of anxiety, the chainmail blanket of despair and the windless knock of heartache, Wylde thrives as a storyteller. Together, these seventeen pieces map out the root of a voice. And while this collection, like most by Wylde, is extremely personal, listeners will have no trouble finding glimpses of themselves around every corner. In fact, it's inescapable.

Kaitlyn Wylde is a Brooklyn-based non-fiction writer and poet. She graduated with a degree in poetry from the Riggio Honors Program for Creative Writing & Democracy at The New School University. Kaitlyn comes from a theatrical background and often blurs the lines between storytelling genres, a habit that she is happy to keep. Whether she's acting in a film, taking photographs, writing comedy or penning her next lovesick poem, she's happy to have the opportunity to tell a tale and share her life. Her willingness to open herself up to her audience has become a defining attribute to her budding career.
