Summary

Left alone at Marlow House with Sadie and Max, Walt expects Danielle and Lily to return by the end of the week. When they don't, he begins to wonder what happened to them.

The ghost of Marlow House doesn't scare six-year-old Evan MacDonald. When the child sneaks into the house in the middle of the night, seeking Walt's help, the resident spirit learns something has happened to Danielle and Lily.

Can a ghost confined to Marlow House and a pint-sized medium bring the people they love home?

5 stars

This is a very good paranormal cozy mystery series. I have read most of the books on my Kindle and I enjoy listening to them as well. I hope all of the books are made into audio books.

Unhealthy Relationships??

I love this series. This book was a good change of pace with the location change, but overall not my favorite book. Jumped around so much. Just something missing is all, hard to describe.

Also, I am starting to believe that the relationship between Walt and Danielle is becoming increasingly unhealthy let alone very awkward for her other relationships.

Love the series,But,,,

This series is really so enjoyable, but there are 3 things that are getting so irritating. First. how many times the constant question from one one or more of the primary characters of,"What do you mean?" That is so frustrating to hear repeatedly as if the characters are that unintelligent? Really? Then there's the overused phrase of, "I don understand. " Again it makes the characters sound less than smart about basic situations, than any very average person does indeed understand. I was actually glad about the setting of this book, because every previous book in the series has been filled with constant mentioning of Danielle's "Red Ford Flex!!!" Please just stop! You can stop telling us the make and model of her car when, most of the time, there's no reason to be so specific about it. we all know what kind of car Danielle drives by now. I hope that the future books in this series won't be so ridiculous. But, believe it or not I do enjoy this series. I just want to keep enjoying them.

A cute but slightly transparent mystery

I won't give away the ending, but there was a big hole in the story that law enforcement blatantly did not follow up on. That alone was the biggest clue. I enjoyed the departure from the house being the center of the mystery though!

Sidenote: I never see people, let alone men, "lick their lips" nervously or otherwise. I don't understand why this is the go to 'tell' of deception or stress in this series. And, who stomps their foot in frustration? It was weird when Cheryl did it early in the series, and even more bizarre to see characters throughout this series take on that characteristic. I can say neither of these are Oregonian traits, since I've lived in Oregon for 28 years. 🤣 They're small things, but annoying when the author uses them more and more often.

I do love this series though!

Disappointing

The story drug on, was as if the author was writing and not thinking ahead. I have several books on series. I am going to screen books better as to not waste money & time.

Failed Filler.

Struggled to finish it. Already done before. Nothing new and predictable. It's a filler hopefully for a better story. Disappointed.
