Summary

From USA Today best-selling author Brett Battles comes the latest in his award-winning Jonathan Quinn thriller series.

Jonathan Quinn has had better years, but now most of the trouble is behind him, if not forgotten.

There is one issue that remains unresolved - the break between him and his partner, Nate. Quinn has come to accept the only potential path to healing the wound is via the passage of time.

The secret world has other ideas.

Quinn and his girlfriend, Orlando, are hired for a new mission, but they must include on their team the operative who is one of the few to have ever seen the face of the job’s target. This operative is unknown to the client, but not to Quinn and Orlando.

Now, to stop a plan that could slaughter tens of thousands of people, they must turn to the one person who wants nothing to do with them.

If they can even find him in time.

Always an adrenaline rush...

I always enjoy the Jonathan Quinn books. Every time a new book comes out I prepare myself because with each new book Battles sets the bar for himself even higher. I always think there's no way he's going to match the previous book but somehow he does. And this book is no exception. Between Battles superb writing and Scott Brick's first rate narration this book is a winner.
This is a fast paced, testosterone laced story with a great plot. I won't go into details but it has a little bit of Dexter, a little more Robin Hood and the rest of the gang including Misty and Steve. From the sound of it I believe Misty will be playing a more prominent character while others my be played out in future books.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATIONS.

Brett Battles is a very prolific author,...

...but the quality of his writing never falters. Including the prequel novel, Becoming Quinn, this is the 13th novel in Battles' Jonathan Quinn series all released beginning in 2007. Since 2007 Battles hes released an average of one novel every four months. He covers a range of genres. He has also released several shorty stories. After having great success with a traditional publisher, in 2012 Battles was one of the first such authors to move to self publishing to the benefit of the cost readers and listeners pay. Like many self published authors he releases the ebook versions of novels several months before the release of the audiobook versions. The Fractured Kindle version was released in early June. I was happy to get it and read it than.

The Jonathan Quinn series is one of my favorites. Battles has built quite a stable of well developed and appealing characters. The Fractured is an outstanding novel; it may be the best novel I have listened to this year. Neither Quinn nor Nate have recovered from the death of Quinn's sister and Nate' girlfriend Liz. During much of this novel Nate is no longer with Quinn as he seeks to come to grips with his loss.

As usual with this series Scott Brick narrates as only he can.

The Fractured is a must listen audio novel which has my strong recommendation. It is standalone, but getting to know the characters well requires listening to earlier series novels first.

It doesn't get much better than this one

I have had several sleepless nights. This is not a book for bedtime reading. i should know better. Scott Brick is at his finest. His accents, his interpretation is flawless. The story kept me riveted to the very end. I can now go to sleep, maybe, if I can only relax after finishing. Highly recommend.

Fractabulistic!

I reckon many of you already have eleven degrees of familiarity with The Quinn and his motley crew of badass. Ergo, and because I prefer silent prudence to loquacious folly, yakking is unnecessary and uncalled for in this review.

The Fractured, book twelve in Brett Battle's outstanding Jonathan Quinn series, is conclusively as good as every one of its predecessors—even better if you prefer bounteous action and violence to peripheral chit-chatting and romance. (chittē chittē bang bang)

Scott Brick is Scott Brick...super ultra wicked slick. Scott's talent as a narrator is extraordinary in general, and especially in this particular genre.

In conclusion, both my buddy Marcus Tullius Cicero and I HIGHLY recommend The Fractured: Jonathan Quinn, Book 12.

One of my very favorites

Quinn, Nate, Orlando, Jar and Dang are amazing characters. Scott Brick is still my fav after all these years. This is one of the best series I have ever listened too. Starting with The Cleaner I have enjoy every single book. I love the direction Brett is going with Nate. I really hope it leads to something like The No Where Man (Orphan X) which is my other favorite series.

Another great listen!

Good story line, another great performance by Scott Brick, and I look forward to the next one! These stories would make for a great tv series along the lines of the Bosch series on Amazon.

Another great Quinn novel

Quinn has to fix his relationship with Nate and that's only the start of the problems the team faces in this book. I'll admit to being worried that the Quinn/Nate feud would drag out over several books but this seems not to be the case. Nate will likely have his own ongoing problems, but direct friction with Quinn, hopefully, won't be among them. I suppose time will tell.

The Fractured is #12 in this series and I'm as invested as ever. I can't wait for #13!
