This review is based on this book and the following one as the world itself made me hope the personality would change, but I couldn't get through the last 3.5 hours of the second book.

Narration:
Excellent job, enjoyed the delivery.

Story:
I enjoyed the idea of this world, but found myself time and time again getting pulled out of the story by the behavior of the MC.
Power fantasies just don't work well for me when the protagonist is an angsty person with abandonment issues.
